It seems like a lot of babies die of SIDS in day care. I wonder why this is... Why they are fine with their parents for the first 4 months and then the time comes for them to go back to work and then it happens. It's so awful and sad. I just can't imagine not being there if that happened. I feel like it would haunt me forever. Tonight my heart goes out to all of those mommies whose babies left in an unexpected and unimaginable way 😞 ❤️

Some daycares just do not exercise enough caution. they may not be able to pay attention to odd signs baby is showing during waking hours, allow for blankets in cribs, not have proper fitting mattress, exposure to many viruses. there's so many reasons why babies in a care center are at a higher risk. its scary stuff. I was fortunate to be able to bring my baby to work with me for his first year and then he was in a different classroom in the same building for the second year

I am an early childhood specialist. I worked with kids with special needs and once my son turned 1, I switched to preschool teaching. it was less emotionally draining haha
