A little worried now. Been to my 38 week midwife appointment and my blood pressure was unusually high. After laying in her room for a good half an hour it finally lowered but she has now recommended bed rest and keep an eye on headaches and visual problems. Yesterday my ankles swelled to the size of balloons and she said to keep an eye on that too. She said they need to keep a close eye on me and booked me to to back next week. Has anyone else experienced this so close to due date? I thought I was doing so well x

@sophie_louise, yeah definitely! I know exactly how your feeling lol. Not too long for us now hopefully! Thanks for the info @leanne2016 hopefully everything will be fine and at least now we all know about it like you say and can be monitored, definitely going to read up about it so I'm informed xx

Oh bless you, bet you are even more excited for your little one then, they are little miracles aren't they! But yes, my first so it's that fear of the unknown isn't it?! I just want to meet her now, I'm definitely fed up of being big and pregnant haha! Xx

Is this your first pregnancy? I know what you mean, my pregnancy has been pretty straight forward so this came as a shock and just makes you worry! Bless your mum, I think it's just that mothers instinct to worry isn't it?! We have it all to come! Xx

@sophie_louise, I'm so glad I'm not on my own. I feel like all I'm going to do is panic now. I will have a look on there and hopefully ease my mind a bit. My mum is worried sick now as well so that's not going to help. She's determined she's coming to my next appointment lol xx

Literally just had the same thing... It's worse because when you feel like something is wrong, you panic more! But she said the same to me that they will monitor my blood pressure every few days now and to phone them if I have any of the other symptoms. I looked on NHS choices at pre-eclampsia and it tells you a bit more detail xx
