I was wondering, is it good to have a lot of kids?

I know the main issues is stress and financial challenges of adding another child. But isn't that insignificant compared to being with that soul or souls for the rest of your life ...

Some people say two is enough...

Some people say five is way to many ...

But is it good to have a lot of kids or not?

I kinda came from a big family. I like having siblings.

If money was the issue my daughter wouldn't be here today. Me and my husband struggle and live from pay check to pay check but we make it work and yeah we want more kids. Not until our daughter is at least two. We want to have a little age gap but my husband wants 4 kids I want 3 kids. My sisters have 5 kids each and struggle as well. I come from a big family. I guess it all depends on the parents and what they want for a family. But no one should judge a parent on the amount of kids they have. As long as the children are loved and cared for then it shouldn't matter.

Wow that's interesting, I like that . I have a feeling once I have this baby in August I will want her to have someone to play with . I been reading a lot online that talks about it's not good to have a lot of kids. It had me thinking... Because mainly it talked about money , not getting any sleep , unhappy relationship due to having kids etc.

For me it comes down to being able to afford to give them everything they need. A car at 18, college paid for. And, of course I'm a SAHM, so, I only want as many as I can afford to keep happy, and healthy on my husband's salary alone. It's not so much the financial issue of "spoiling" a child, but more of what they need. I want to be able, also, to go on many good vacations and travel with my kids. Growing up, my family could only afford small "long weekend" trips within the US. I want to travel with my kids outside of the county, as well as within, and I want to make sure we can afford do to that as much as we please.

If money was a good enough reason to not have kids, I wouldn't be here. My parents had 12 children together and my dad has been self employed for over 20 years. They made it work on one income most of the time while my mom was home raising us. Personally, I want 6 kids. I also want the gap between oldest & youngest to be 10 years MAX. So yeah, we will be popping out kids pretty quick. But I don't see anything wrong with that. It's ultimately up to you and your SO!

I think that that question is different for every family. some are perfect with no kids, 1 kid, 3 kids, 12 kids .
