@mommy.to.be.041016, well he poops but not all day at least once or twice and sometimes we give him gas drops

yeah I thought my son had acid reflux but his spitting up got so bad it soaked me and him and it kept him from nearly breathing and he didn't poop but peed well we went to his doctor and told me we needed to go to the hospital within the next 24 hours he had to have surgery cause he had pyloric stenosis which can cause them not to poop so everything is backed up and that's why he spit up a lot luckily that doctor saved his life I'm not trying to scare you but I warn first time moms about this cause it'd common for firstborn male babies to have it and don't show signs til about five weeks. just to be safe I would call your babies doctor and ask his doctor about pyloric stenosis cause you'll need to get an ultrasound done on his tummy to find out if he has it or not

Yeah I made him more immediately @silassmommy512 but I only let him eat a little over an ounce of that two ounces and he's sleeping now. And no I'm just scared to give him anything because he's not even to his due date yet it's the fourteenth of this month and I didn't know if he could have that being a preemie

that sounds like what my son does lol.. you know when he's hungry cuz he's your lo so I would say to feed him.. do you have gripe water?

See I tried that he's eating three sometimes four ounces so I was going to give him two ounces every two hours but he wasn't having that he got done and I sat him in his swing and he started sucking on his hand and screaming which is what he does when he's hungry @silassmommy512 😔

he could just be spitting up because he's getting use to the formula plus it's been changed on him.. you could feed him less but more frequent too.. as long as he's gaining weight it shouldn't be a problem but if he's not than something could be wrong

Yeah they told me if he needs a special kind of formula his doctor can write a note for them @silassmommy512

possibly. I know my wic place has a form your dr can fill out so you can get the type of formula you need

@silassmommy512, right now I'm using similac advance but he just got switched to it because wic didn't cover the stuff he was using so could he be spitting up so much because he's switching formulas?

I had to use the similac spit up for awhile because my son has acid reflux as well. I would suggest that since it is a thicker formula. and also maybe he has a sensitivity to milk.. you can try a sensitive formula or similac with the light purple lid. @rockysmommy

@aboutellesbabe, he does have it but I've tried everything it says to do and it's not working @silassmommy512 he burps really well really loud too I'm calling his doc tomorrow

Maybe he has acid reflux? I've read stuff about it and that is what it sounds like! I don't have any first hand experience though. Definitely look it up though! Apparently it can be a pretty easy fix!

try the similac spit up formula. and make sure he burps really well momma. if it continues take him to his dr!
