@mommyofcohenjayceandmatthew, I've shown him what I like before... It's a circle cut its honestly hideous and I feel AWFUL. The worst part is that he got it engraved so he can't return it...

Oh no!!! Shit why didn't he make sure it's your type before?! That's awful I'm sorry :( but it's sweet of him! Just sucks :( I was worried my fiancé would buy one I hated too. I made extra sure to not-so-subtly show him my type haha Did he check if he can return even though it's engraved?

@mamesey, I checked and I think we MIGHT be able to... It has a 120 day love it or return it guarantee. Im not getting my hopes up though. It's not so much that I hate the ring but that I hurt him because he thought I would be happy and love it. I feel so bad I can't even express it...

I would talk to a blacksmith honestly it's not as hard as you'd think to melt or do whatever they do to make an engraving go away! I know because my mom has done this in the past. They just take out all the diamonds and work on the metal. Then put all the diamonds back and good as new :) or you can take all the diamonds out, sell the metal, and then design a new platform with him using the diamonds you have! Trust me, you are not doomed to an ugly ring! You have some options :)

I hope you can return it!! Yeah I understand, he was probably so excited and everything and you feel bad but don't feel bad! You didn't do anything wrong!!! It's just unfortunate. I hope they will accept a return and both of you can be happy :)

I've been in that situation. Be honest trust me you will feel a lot better. Every time I looked at the ring I hated it. He finally noticed the next day when I didn't wear it. He knew the whole time he just wanted to hear it from me lol
