Did any of you ladies ask your doctor for a membrane sweep? If so, how many weeks were you? I'm 38 weeks and not sure if it's something I should bring up to my doctor, or let it be? I'm schedule for an induction on the 20th when I'm 40 weeks, but I want so badly for my baby to come naturally. I have tried everything from sex to walking, yoga ball, pineapple, literally everything to try and induce labor, but nothing has helped. I was 3 cm dilated when i went to my appointment last week. By the way, I didn't try any of this until recently, because I didn't want it to be too soon for baby! Doctor said it was fine for baby to come at anytime. Advice?

@simplyairbear thank you so much for telling me girl, something has actually gone right lol. Very happy for you😄
@hermommy, thank you so much!! I was so excited, and couldn't believe it worked haha. I had to tell you lol.
I had to go look!! both of your babies are perfect :)
@simplyairbear aww yay😊😊😊 that's amazing, I was really hoping it would work for you🎉🎊 congratulations girl!!
@hermommy, so all I have to say is you're amazing! Lol. I started pumping and lived on my yoga ball and I went into labor two days later! It really does work 😄
@simplyairbear hey its better than nothing😄 I had friends that pumped and nothing came out
@hermommy, life is so exciting now! Hahaha. I always loved yoga balls, I never had any idea how much I would really love them later on 😂 yeah, I put my first bag in the freezer! 😄 only got about a 1/2 oz though. But it's a start!
@simplyairbear pump bounce pump bounce, if you're breast feeding make sure to keep that for baby❤ when you start feeling contractions have sex or get up and move lol
@hermommy, that's what I want is to avoid it if possible!! I talked to my doctor today and she said they'll do a membrane sweep next week! My doctors refuse to do anything until 39 weeks 😫 but I started pumping tonight! Lol. So hopefully that'll be a kick start!
@simplyairbear not a problem:) if you can avoid induction do it, nothing wrong with that! I know staying active is the hardest part😅 I'm the same, I want nothing to do with all that getting up is hard. When he told me to stay active I just looked at him like yeah, okay lol.
You might just be a life saver! Haha @hermommy
@hermommy, oh, that's awesome! I hadn't heard of that! Thank you sooooo much! Lol. The not sitting still part will be the hardest part haha. I'm up for like five minutes and get so tired 😂 haha. My yoga ball has been my best friend since it still keeps me going, but not as much as walking haha.
@simplyairbear I would definitely ask, as for the pumping my Ob SWEARS by it literally, his exact words was "pumping is the only thing natural you can do that can and will put you into active labor" I suggested it to a couple of my friends that had inducement threatened and writhing 48 hours baby was here. The membrane sweep helps too, my friend was in labor 24 hours atleast after Pollard swept them for her but she was squaring dancing and acting a fool haha.
Oh, really?? So should I ask my doctor about it today at my appointment? And am I able to start pumping? I totally thought I had to wait for baby to start pumping lol. Sorry for the questions 😂 @hermommy
