When can I start to use tampons again lol Im tired of pads ! Im 2 weeks pp do I wait till my first pd comes ?

My child birth class said to wait at least 6 weeks after birth before using tampons again.

I was told to wait til after the 6 wks is up, I'm so over these pads too

And omg yes my whole life iv pretty much used tampons and now I'm using pads I feel uncomfortable and I feel gross lol @bianca_rose

I'm 2 weeks pp as well.. I go through so many pads... it's ridiculous

I know!! Idk that I've ever really used pads and I got these overnight ones and they're seriously as big as the hospital ones lol I have to go buy normal sized ones lol

But I'm not even bleeding anymore like if I do bleed it's not even half the pad

I barely am either. The problem is our cervix hasn't gone completely back to normal so we're at risk for infection, which the tampon can introduce

Switch to liners if you're not even filing a normal pad! @dee0401 I'm 5 weeks PP and I used liners for the past 2..

I used one to soon. OUCH!!! it hurt sooooo bad. Taking it out was horrible 😥

I switched to liners after awhile.... the issue is you can bleed off and on for up to 8 weeks, and lime someone said your cervix isn't closed yet.... also if you had stitches they can take 6 weeks to completely heal.... so I would just switch to liners

not to mention you could start bleeding heavily again and you need to be able to tell how fast you fill the pad and you need to be able to tell clot sizes
