We had to switch Abel from breastfeeding to formula because he was breaking out and wasn't pooping , his rash went away within hours of switching and he was pooping but now a couple of days later he is fussy again not pooping and only eating a little bit, I have gave him gas drops , juice,and everything else to try to get him to use the bathroom . we have a doctors appointment at 2 but I feel so awful.

it was the doctor who said to switch or cut out all dairy products which would've been hard and I knew I would've slipped . @kparis

It can take up to a week for the formula to kind of "regulate" in their body. When I switched my daughter nothing helped her poop really, then about 4-5 days later she's pooping 2-3 times a day. Give it some time, I know it's hard to see him in pain.

like @a.claypool13 said give him a few days but also rub his tummy and bicycle motion his legs to ease the pain a little the switch does this but it's normal if he goes past a week his doctor might suggest doing a rectal temp which also helped my daughter
