I do not believe in co-sleeping with your child of any age idc. They need to learn to sleep in their own beds by themselves! No negative comments!!!!
😟😟😟 thanks ladies. @awaylaelder @adaraa126 @cubanese @tenecia
I'm planning on co-sleeoing for the first month, I'll be ebf. I was just talking about this because my SO's sister has been sleeping with his mom since she was born until now and she's 12 now... its so odd to me. I told him I hope he doesn't think we're doing that.
Easier said than done when you don't have your own child yet. We personally coslept because it was easier for him to sleep when he was touching us. He is now almost 6 and we have him in his own room now (transition was really easy) He still tries and gets in bed with us but I get right up and bring him into his bedroom and turn on his fan, tv, and night light and say good night and that's that.
Tell him how he is making you feel. And if he don't listen, make him
well you are gonna have to do whats best for you..cause thats not good ❤
I know if I say something he will take it the wrong way and it's his daughters he never sees them blah blah, how about they live in another state and have spent more time with him in the past 7 months then I have!! I never saw him when I was living home. It's just an unfair situation to me and he won't understand how I feel. @adaraa126 @jjsmommyjj711 @cubanese @tenecia and apparently not @awaylaelder he said he would try to come sleep with me once they were asleep but I doubt that will happen because he'll fall asleep. I'm honestly really trying here and I get nothing back 😞 I know he's not intentionally doing it but it hurts me and I'm not going to let it be like this all summer!
This is the first guy I've dated with kids. I had an ex with a older son but my ex was in the army and his son never came here. @cubanese it's frustrating for sure! @adaraa126
wow, he need to bed train them, try to get a relationship councillor that may help
you are gonna need to talk to him hunny..its great he is a good dad but he has to think of you too.
I was really looking forward to cuddling up with him tonight I even asked if I could steal him for the night to sleep with me and he said he had to sleep with them because they wake up in the middle of the night if he doesn't. I didn't even say anything but I got so upset alone and cried because I've had no time with him since I've been pregnant and now I'm living here and feel like I'm just in the shadows 😢@adaraa126 @cubanese @awaylaelder @jjsmommyjj711 @tenecia
7 and 8 is way to old to co-sleep IMO. I can't even imagine having my daughter sleep with us that long. At first, I was hesitant but then I got used to it and now I miss her. I enjoyed snuggling with her. But it has also delayed her potty training. At least that is what I blame it on. Plus she has a 6 year old cousin that is still in pull ups...
I do understand how you feel, I had a situation with my bf about his son from his ex wife and he told me I only felt that way because I'm not his mother.. and all I said to him is he need to stop visiting him at his ex house and take him over to spend time with us instead how the hell that translate to you don't want me to see my son I have no fucking idea...
well ultimately you have to put your foot down..i totally understand your frustration and honestly i would be frustrated too
I don't even know how to address it to my BF because they're his kids not mine! But I can tell all you ladies I won't allow that shit with our son, I'm mommy to that little boy I will say what I want and feel in regards to how he's raised and brought up.@adaraa126 @cubanese @awaylaelder @jjsmommyjj711 @tenecia
agreed :) some people do take the co sleeping a little too far
@adaraa126, I totally understand that! That's different if they are sick or have a bad dream or are scared. But don't make it a permanent thing and I would carry my child back to their own bed once they fell asleep. Or I'd just stay with them till they did. @tenecia
now I see where your coming from, I agree they are too old for that..
I agree with @adaraa126 they should be in thier beds
now he's 4 and he can't no more but I do miss cuddling with him sometime, I just try to share as many of those moments as possible.. every parent have different ways of bonding with their kid
no at that age they should be in their own beds on their own..the only time i allow my son to sleep with me is when he is sick and thats only because he is prone to siezures
My bfs daughters are 7 and 8 and apparently they can't sleep without him sleeping with them. I think it's ridiculous. They are old enough to sleep in their own bed. They got a grown man and 2 little girls in like a double bed. Yes they are still youngish but the older they get it doesn't look right having them sleep with their dad. @adaraa126 @tenecia I should be able to sleep with my BF damnit it sucks 😢 I don't want to seem selfish but I get no love or affection with them here I deserve to cuddle up with him at night I don't think that's asking for to much 😟
We co-slept with my daughter. We just got her into her own bed a week ago. She is 3.5. Co-sleeping wasn't working out for us anymore. I am 15 weeks pregnant and need to spend some quality time with my spouse. When the baby gets here, we will hopefully have a crib in our room and the baby sleep in it instead of our bed
my first born co-slept with me for about a month and a half cause he cluster fed and i breast fed so it just made things easier..and then he slept in a basinet next to me till he was 6 months old.:) everyone has their own parenting styles!
you just do whatever works for you :)
for me it was easier because I breastfeed but in a few weeks jj will be one and he will be in his bed and weaned off the boobie
I wasn't brought up that way and my own personal opinion I think it's better to sleep alone cause then they become older children and they still sleeping with you! I slept with my mom occasionally in the summer because she had ac in her room and it was really warm in our house otherwise all 3 of us slept in our own beds. @adaraa126 @tenecia
I breastfed my kids and I just find its easier especially when my eyes can barely open lol plus I'm jamaican and it's a common practice there..my mom has 8 kids and she co-slept with all of us..
sometimes its easier said than done haha..especially when they are newborns!

Babygirl knocked out sleep
Co sleeping...yay or nay? Lately Molly hasn't want to sleep in her crib and sleep with us. Which is fine but we do want her to sleep in her crib
shut the door?
does anyone shut their child's door while they sleep? (if they sleep in their own room)
anytime 😆
