@momofacutie, I know the LC told me my nipple is big compared to his mouth and he may have to grow into it but he is so lazy about nursing and won't suck at all. Just kind of flicks his tongue at it. I'm going to see one Tuesday but I'll try a nipple shield until then

You guys should go out an see a lactation consultant they are really helpful. Or you can YouTube a video of how to properly place your nipple in his mouth maybe he can't grasp it right. :)

I hope it helps my son was a lazy nurser when he was first born just would not open his mouth or latch right but once the lactation consultant gave me one of those worked wonders he latches immediately your son should do well since he does well with a bottle he probably think the shield is a bottle as it is the same material as one

@atlas, thank you I will go tomorrow and see if that helps because I'm ready to give up, pumping sucks for me and he doesn't do well at breast

yeah most places that sel breastfeeding supplies will have them i think i even seen some at walmart

try using a nipple shield they work wonders I used one for the first 7 weeks then my son self weaned off of it straight to actual nipple
