Why is it that ALMOST every time after getting shots **MY child gets sick? Ryan got 5 shots yesterday and is completely miserable, high temp, cough and runny nose and won't eat. But yesterday before his shots he was completely fine and no sign of sickness. I hate the after effects of shots. 😬😠😢

My kids always feel like crap after certain shots. and they usually get more than 1 at a time so I never know exactly which one is causing it. Although I still feel better knowing they're vaccinated so I just give them a dose of Tylenol now right before we go.

@nichole_lynn unfortunately that kind of a fever is still considered a normal response. Lucas had five for his 4 month shots (2 each leg , one orally) and his fever got up to 103.4. Have u tried giving him a lukewarm bath with some Tylenol? We do one bath in the morning and another towards the afternoon . Fevers are known to spike early morning/evening for whatever the reason.I also give Lucas Tylenol before his injections to help get a jumpstart . If I may, hand sanitizer has actually been linked to being more susceptible to illness because it strips the body's natural defense, our oils, and allows germs to stick to us like glue. Frequent Hand washing is the best thing to help prevent getting sick..

I feel so bad for him, he just woke up and hour ago and already seems to wanna sleep. and I edited it, ik all kids are diffrent, he has a temp of 103.2 and that seems a little high for a fever after shots. @rachel8792 @hellosweetie @mommy_faith @mommastone I'm sorry ladies, I'm just horribly panicking for him. he won't eat and wants to go back to bed.

My son has never had a reaction thank goodness, but I also believe a contributing factor is that the doctor is visited by more sick kids thoughout the day that the germs are sitting there especially if the baby is moving around and touching things
I always keep my son in my lap, and we use purrell when we leave, im a germ freak lol

That seems ridiculous! I'm not a doctor but I don't think it's right to give them 5 at once, they should be spaced out a bit more than that....maybe they were out of the combined ones?? Either way they should have asked you to come back another time for more! Hope he feels better soon mama, just take it easy with him and keep him cool 😟 poor guy!

My son has never had a reaction but yes all babies are different. You could try spreading out the vaccines a little bit! That's what he do and our own schedule is perfect for us😊

Awww that sucks...every baby is different though, my girl had a very slight fever the night of her 2 month shots, but her 4, 6 and 9 month shots went totally fine and she was a little sleepier that day but otherwise completely normal 😉 some kids just take it differently! Why on earth did they give him 5 shots at once though?? That sounds horrible, never had that happen yet at least....
