my oldest I had broke from the bottle by 5 months old. I started with sippys with nipples then gradually worked her up from there. the hardest thing was getting her to take a hard spout. plan to do the same with this one if I have to use bottles

They have sippy cups with a soft top (kind of like the nipple of a bottle) that's how I got my son to switch then after awhile started with the harder tops, to the straw kinds etc.

throw them all away and give her a cup she might refuse it at first but when she's thirsty she will drink from a cup by trying to ease her on it only confuses her from my experience

My daughter was very helpful before she turned one, she liked to throw things away for us, lol. So we had her throw away her own bottles and kept one just in case, lol. She never needed it and just started using big girl cups after that (:

This won't work for every baby but at a year, my nieces mom took the bottle and binky away one night and never used it again and my niece didn't even know they were gone. Sometimes they're not dependent on them, they just take it because you give it to them, other times it's a little difficult.

My LO only likes a certain sippy cup and it took us a little while to find one she liked. Shop around and buy a few different kinds and see. Once you find one she likes I would only give her a bottle before bed, none during the day and then slowly work out the night time one and replace it with a snippy cup as well

what sippy cups have you tried? My daughter only likes the Nuby ones. I started off just using them if she wanted a drink then using them instead of bottles agave age age her baby food. Now she's been on nothing but her sippy cup for over a month she started at 9 months
