Mamas, i have an important question.

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and I'm living with my mom. The only ones living at the house are my mom, me and my 2 teen sisters. My sisters won't help my mom mow the yard which is fairly big and hilly. Now my question is, could I help my mom mow with being this far along? I hate seeing her do it herself and I hate that I can't help her and there are a few flat spots I could mow for her to help her a little.

Haha. They're 15 and 18. My 18 year old sister has a part time job and tells my mom she "works so hard". She's also not helping my mom with bills or anything, especially not house work. She will probably be living here while she goes to college as well. 😧 I was 11 when I started mowing the grass at my dad's and have been doing it since.

You're 36 weeks pregnant. Mowing the grass won't hurt you or the baby as long as you stay hydrated and rest when needed. :). It'll probably feel good to get that physical activity. Especially if you're accustomed to doing that sort of activity. I was doing P90X3 6 days a week up until the night so delivered. 😂😂😂. You're good! How old are your sisters?! Hopefully close to 18 and they can go find reality soon. My daughter is 12 and mows grass. 😂

I have actually talked to my OB about it, she said it's fine....recently brought it up to her again because Braxton hicks have been pretty constant and again she said it's fine but make sure your drinking lots of water before during and after as well as resting frequently. Listen to your body it knows when enough is enough. I just mowed the lawn Sunday, took me about 3 hrs on what usually takes me about an hour and a half but I made sure to keep fluids in and rest alot per doctors orders

I've always helped mow before I got pregnant. I figured as long as I did take breaks and rest so often and drink plenty of water I should be fine. My mom won't let me mow the hill parts, but she said if I feel like I can I could mow the flat parts.

When I was nesting that was one of the thing I felt like I needed to do & I just wanted to be outside lol I would just sit down and rest about every ten to 15 mins I was fine . It's just whatever you feel comfortable with .

@erinflaherty818, Could it cause me or the baby problems? And they aren't. They really don't care about it. They don't help with the house or anything. My mom and I do everything including dishes, laundry, vacuuming, taking care of the dog, etc. I'm still doing this.

You could mow in spurts. Keep hydrated and take breaks. And your sisters should be ashamed of themselves.
