I've been having contractions about every 5 mins apart and went to the hospital and wasn't dilated so they gave me a cup of water and sent me home. They wanted to give me a sleeping pill but it was 4pm so why would I want one that early? Is this normal? Should I go to the higher rated hospital in my area? The one I went to said oh the contractions are 5 mins apart but since you aren't dilated take this water you might be dehydrated. Note they didn't give me an iv or check my urine like they are supposed to.
@ladyllama66, one more thing, since you are far enough along keep drinking your water and moving around. Don't lay down. If it's the early stages of labor you want the contractions to keep up until they finally dilate you! I crawled around on my hands and knees for hours until I was in too much pain from the contractions I had to go in. Mop the floors. Vacuum. Anything to keep yourself moving. Maybe baby will make a grand appearance soon! Good luck
@rachel8792, I agree with your first comment. But contractions can vary in length. With my daughter they were about 30 seconds long. With my son they were roughly 45. So, they can be shorter. 😉
@ladyllama66, sadly that's what happens. It's possible you are in the early stages of labor. You are having contractions but they aren't doing anything to your cervix. Unfortunately this could last for days! If you are dehydrated you will have contractions.
Also each contraction will be about a minute long each one
Every time I was dehydrated they just gave me water too. Its standard procedure. They give you an hour to dialate , and if its truly labor, then you will dialate, otherwise you are either dehydrated, or having braxton hicks
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

Religion Conspiracy/Theory
**This is not to bash peoples religion and beliefs but to talk about our own theories and ideas** I would like to discuss a certain topic that came to mind after talking to my SO. I know some of you ladies like a good conspiracy talk so i would like to have a good discussion and hear thoughts of others. So back story my SO friends got very offended when he mentioned not believing in god or religion and it got me thinking. Is religion a failing form of goverment cont...

Thank you everyone. I was worried something was wrong. I get extremely nervous with this being my first baby and don't want to keep rushing to the hospital for everything.
