I feel like a baby elephant some times @jodieiokie, I love it when we have my step son because I feel like I can park in parent and child and it helps so much with room lol! @tresea I agree with not st the beginning but at the end as I am now very big and starting to struggle getting in and out of my car. Tweeting them was a good idea @gemloudow as that way you will be able to get a straight answer, I'm nearly 33 weeks now and don't use them as of yet but I have said if I do get any bigger I will serious consider using them especially after this weekend when she's decided to push her way down making it harder for me to walk lol! @jenfer yeah I agree like I said earlier if I was to park in parent and child and there was only one space left I would leave it and find somewhere else but if there were a few spaces I would probably use it as it is difficult for me to get int and out of small spaces. It's even getting hard to navigate my bump around the toilet doors in shops haha! I swear I'm the size of a mini whale lol xxx

I'm very undecided here. I was massive I was all bump but never once used these spaces until I had baby and I got on just fine. It is very frustrating when there are no parent and child spaces so you either have to find a 3 space gap and hope you get out before someone parks next to you, over park and be accused of being a dick or park at the back and walk down with a very heavy car seat...obviously if I was to see a very heavily pregnant lady get out of the car in the space I wouldn't have anything to say but if they barely have a bump I possibly would. Not horribly but a polite excuse me, it is very hard to get a car seat back in the car other wise. Luckily my friend works as a trolley person so j was able to nicely ask him to have car seat and baby while I backed my car out the other day because someone parked too close xx

I'm not going to lie when I hit 9 months pregnant I tweeted sainsburys.. they said I could use the parking space for parent baby... as they were closer to store and wider spaces. we only did twice but was better than fighting my bump pressed against another car ♡ loved it

Maybe not from the beginning but definitely at the end as like a lot of you have said it's really hard to get in and out its almost impossible some times specially when your trying to get back in and find someone as parked really close xx

I think they should... Should see me try and scramble out of my car when it's a tight squeeze... Like a baby elephant! Thank god I have a toddler too... He comes in handy sometimes! 😝😝

I feel like I might put my 'baby on board' and car seat in my car! then I can say I'm about to drop at any time so I need to be comfortable!!! it's rare that I do a food shop now I do it all online or my mother gets everything in for us 🙈🙈 xxxx

Exactly @catherineln25 I think everyone should sympathies with people and try to help rather than hinder, I am tempted to get a sign printed to put in my window saying 'heavily pregnant woman drives this car, please leave enough space' but very much doubt it would help :/ xxxx

I can see where your coming from @jod1303 as I'm the same, I don't mind the walk it's the issue of the space next to the car, I think parking spaces should be made wider, all of them as people have different size cars big and small which can make it difficult for someone without a growing baby never mind a hormonal heavily pregnant woman lol xxx

oh goodness yes you have to use your initiative.. I'll probably think differently when I have to try and get a baby seat out of the car.. then again we know how hard it is being pregnant so I can sympathise with most women and my pregnancy really hasn't been plain sailing. @briony1994 xxxx

That's good of your work @catherineln25 I agree if you find yourself struggling then you should be allowed to use one, on the other hand if I noticed it was the last space I would probably try and find another one but that's just my personal view xxxx

most parent and child spaces here arent even close to the shop entrance anyway the extra walk never bothers me its the space. i do park wherever i get a space usually closer to the shops unless i have my son i try to park in mother and baby. i dont say its wrong but when i struggle to get my son in the car and a woman whose about 5/6 months not so big parka there then yeah i dont think its fair! xx

This is why I posted on here @mich77 I'd rather get people's views on here as opinions seem to be more respected on here rather than Facebook. @ooohjaadiie I think pregnant women with things such as spd should be able to get temporary disability badges, I don't have spd but I can only imagine the struggle it would be for people with it xxx

I think as soon as your past 20 weeks pregnant you should be able to park in these spaces. different women get bigger, women start having complications, aches and pains. I find food shopping difficult as it is without having to walk half way across the car park to struggle getting in my car. At work they don't have parent spaces but we are allowed in the disabled spaces to make it easier for us. x

I have had to wait until someone got back in their car before, as I could not open the door to my own car! The thing is you could be 6 months pregnant and not look it, also suffer with pregnancy related illnesses, sciatica SPD etc. The same way disabled spaces can be used by people with hidden disabilities, parent and child spaces should be available for pregnant women, even if we had to declare it? that's just my opinion anyway

Oh I'm glad I didn't see this on fb I feel I would have gotten into an argument! @briony1994

some people have just no common sense. I don't care where I park. I'd just like to be able to get out of the car when I get to the shop otherwise it's a bit of a pointless shopping trip hahaha

That's what happened with me @mich77 I park in an area with lots of spaces but I'm sure idiots can sense I'm pregnant and they want to piss me off because I come out the shop and they have parked so close to my car even tho there is a million other spaces near by lol xx

There are a lot of people on Facebook saying that pregnant women shouldn't use them. In my opinion I think heavily pregnant women should be allowed to use them as I've found it hard getting in and out of the car in normal spaces due to people parking too close but if I was 3/4 months pregnant then I wouldn't deem it nessercary, a lot of people making out pregnant women are lazy and just want to be closer to the shops but personally for me I wouldn't mind how close or far they were just bigger spaces like @jod1303 mentioned! :) nice to see different views on this matter from actual pregnant women and ones with new borns lol @leigh-amyxo @winterbaby95 @ooohjaadiie @holliesinead xxx

yes @briony1994. I asked in asda the other day and they said I could start using them spaces. My argument is that I'm quite fat now and once some idiot parked really close to my car and I couldn't open the door wide enough to get in!!! 😣

i think problem solved if they make all car parking spaces bigger. to be honest i do and i dont because if there are no spaces for me to take my son out without squishing him it would piss me off! same as wen sometimes parent and child is up ti age 12! thats annoying too xx

I did the other day mainly because the only space was at the end of the car park and being 9 months gone and walking with shopping bags isn't fun! I wouldn't do it if I wasn't this far gone but if I had a child with me I wouldn't get annoyed at seeing a pregnant woman parking instead of me xx

Ответить

definitely, it's hard enough getting out of a car as it is, the least they could do is make the spaces bigger for us ladies. My midwife told me from the beginning to park in the parent and child bays, but every supermarket I have been to has restrictions!
