Ladies what do you all think about the Cincinnati Zoo that Shoot and Killed a Gorilla After 4-Year-Old Boy fell Into Enclosure? For me I found it heart breaking, I know the animal didn't deserve that! I don't like zoos, all animals should be where they belong not trapped in the zoo!! But I've seen so many rude comments saying that they should had killed the little boy or how the mother is worthless for not taking care of her child! That's what gets me mad, how can people say that! What do you ladies think? As a mother what would you have done??

don't they have shots that make them.fall asleep instead of shooting it? I saw the video and I honestly think the mom is just stupid, not once did you hear her yell for help or anything, she just kept saying I love you. and I know anytime I've been to the Zoo, I wouldn't let my kids get close to the cage or put them on my shoulders to see better, so in a way I kind of feel like it was the mothers fault.

Has a mother my kid wouldn't have been in the pit cause I would have been watching my child like I'm supposed to, especially at a zoo where there are wild animals. It's the mothers and the kids fault.

@kelseys, that's a tranquilizer your thinking of and in the story they said didn't want to risk the child's life by using it so they killed the gorilla instead. Even though gorillas first instincts are to be protective and that's all the gorilla did. He was actually protecting me the kid from all the screaming humans. The kid was only harmed when he fell in the exhibit.

@andiryan93, yes that! yea in the video not once did you see the gorilla get crazy or anything, he was trying to hold the kid. that's sad that an innocent animal had to die, but I still think its the mothers fault. how would the tranquilizer harm the kid? I thought they could shoot it at the gorilla, or it would've hit them both?

The tranquilizer is for the gorilla yes and they thought if they used it on the gorilla it would cause the gorilla to become agitated and attack the kid. @kelseys but as you could see in the video the gorilla was being protective not harmful.

Yes I do think the mom should had been more responsible but Maybe if we didn't keep animals where they don't belong for our entertainment, things like this wouldn't happen. @andiryan93 @kelseys @sofiaismyworld

I agree with you @rosasyaireth I think the only animals that should be in a zoo are those few animals that wouldn't survive back in the wild due to injury or what have you.
