A girl told me today that your NOT supposed to roll the foreskin back on the baby the clean him? your just supposed to clean everywhere else. lol k thought this was the funniest thing because she was trying to "correct" me but , correct me if I'm wrong, the baby can get an infection if you DONT clean under the foreskin? That's what my Dr has told me.

We plan to use q tips to clean under the foreskin so we can keep it clean and not retract the skin at the same time.

I looked it up and it says to not force the skin back bc u can hurt them but it only pull it back it there's poop in there and when they go through puberty then they pull it back clean it everyday

You have to pull back and clean it or your baby can get infections. Just make sure when you done cleaning to pull the skin back up.!!

Are you talking about if they're circumcised or not circumcised? My little man is circumcised and they put a ring on it that fell off on its on. I wasn't suppose to clean it unless it got poop on it and then only clean it with water and soap because a baby wipe can make it burn.

I was told to only clean it if he got poop on it.. So I left it alone for a long time.. The skin started to fuse together!! He almost had to have surgery.. But the doctor put some numbing stuff on it and pulled it back! I felt so bad!! That was 7 years ago.. So maybe they changed the "rules" on it again..
@ashsloan, how are you supposed to clean the baby after he pees? lol I have no idea, my son is circumcised.

My MIL told me your not supposed to have a baby shower for your second child, only with your first, I've never heard of that????

do you correct your SO/DH If they're performing a simple task for baby and it's not how you would do it?
