One lesson I will be sure to teach my kid early on is if you hear the national anthem you stop what you are doing, face the flag, and don't talk or play until it's over. One of my biggest pet peeves. Oh and if I hear an adult continue on a conversation while the national anthem is playing I will shoot you a death glare, guaranteed.

Well then I don't mind it's just the people that continue on with whatever they're doing while it's going on. That's what irks me. @lilfree16
I mean, I don't talk or anything.. i actually rarely hear it.. but I'm not the one to salute the flag .
@lilfree16, is there a certain reason you don't free the need to respect the national anthem?
Thankful my kids grew up on a military base and this is the norm for them! People actually stop when they see them stop...well, sometimes.
oh lol.. yeah I know you're not supposed talk or do whatever you want.. I usually stand there because i still dont know the words lol
