As my due date approaches I have many questions. This is my second baby but I didn't really know what I was doing the first go around so I would like to know how to do it better this time. My first question is:
1) What's the estimate amount of time should I expect bleeding after baby? Would my post baby wrap help the bleeding end sooner?
2) My husband comes home for baby leave off of deployment June 30th which is like 3 or 4 weeks after my due date. Of course he has needs as do I but should I risk pleasing him by having sex before my 6 weeks are up?
3) I never breastfeed before so this will be my first go around. How do I know if I'm doing it right or she is latching on right since my hospital didn't offer a breastfeeding class this time and I didn't go with my first?
4) If the breastfeeding don't work out for me what would be the best milk to transition her onto formula?
5) How do you get your toddler to accept and not get jealous of the new baby once baby comes home?
6) I bought nursing bras but I know I will need more. It's it really worth buying more or should I just invest in new bras especially since nursing bras don't look all that attractive?
@I rishtwinmom13, Yeah that's another issue I'm triple D cup already so it's another struggle.
ooohh ooooh Wal-Mart.com has a new line called You!lingerie it's everything intimate for maternity and nursing:) some of that is just too cute but I'm too big to fit into any of it lol.
@shan548, I ordered almost all of my stuff at Walmart online. But Amazon has cute ones too and cheap
@bri28, where did you get the flattering ones?
And for the nursing bras. I know some of them aren't flattering at all, but it's all about comfort and it's so much easier to breastfeed than pulling down a regular bra, trust me. They do have very cute nursing bras, tho. Most of mine are plain white or black but I have like 2 or 3 different ones that are more stylish.
@shan548, the bleeding can last 4-8 weeks. Mine was 8 weeks and I was going crazy. So you'll most likely be bleeding still when your hubby comes home. As for breastfeeding... I always encourage other moms to breastfeed if they have the ability to do so. They have lactation consultants in the hospital, they will help you out. I loved mine in the hospital. They'll show you different positions to feed the baby. Even if you have problems after with the latch or anything, you can go see consultants. My hospital offered to come back anytime I have problems. Like I said, I'm a breastfeeding advocate. Is it hard and exhausting? Absolutely! But it's so so so worth it. Get your mindset right - you can do this! Don't blame yourself if it's not going how you want it to. It'll work out, trust yourself. As for formula, I can't give you any advice, since I exclusively breastfeed. Just don't pump right away, let the baby get good practice the first 2-3 weeks, so you'll have a good milk supply. And my girl was almost 5 when I had my boy and she did great! I included her in everything while I was pregnant. We talked about breastfeeding and she was super curios and told everyone about it :) I let her bring wipes and diapers and we cuddle together and she's not one bit jealous.
I had my baby may 16 and I am still bleeding but not as bad as those first 3/4 days. as for breastfeeding...does your hospital have a lacation consultant? I had to have one help me. plus most of the nurses in the l&d or baby/mother care should be able to help. I had my baby on post at Fort stewart
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Should I let my x know when labor starts
I NEED HELP !
My 5yr old has lice and I don't know what to do, any advice?!? it's my first time dealing with lice I feel so lost 😭😭😭😭

Took this lastnight...and I'm not sure how I should feel. I've made a terrible mistake by having sex so soon after having a baby but it has made such a precious thing. I really don't want to have an abortion but my Fiancé does. I understand why he wants to go that route but I just would feel absolutely terrible about doing that. I cried all night...I really don't know what to do. PLEASE NO JUDGING IM ONLY POSTING THIS FOR SUPPORT.
I think I just felt my baby move for the first time? how do you know?
