Ok so i know changing cat litter isnt a good idea while pregnant. but my cat is due to have her babies soon and i want her confined to my room. So is there a safe way to go about having a litter box in my room and cleaning it myself?
Get liter liners from Walmart. It's what I use. And the chance of you contracting anything from the liter is actually slim to none. I talked to my OB about it. Look it up. You have a higher chance of contracting something from under cooked meat or touching the dirt from gardening.
Lol thanks she's an escape artist gunna have to lock her up after these babies are born till i can get her fixed.. she's a hoe xD
it has to be in my room cuz if i let her out of my room she will get out of the house which is how she got pregnant to begin with
i have a 6 year old i could get to do it i suppose.. i love with my mother and i know she wouldn't be willing to do it.. i was just curious if there was a way i could do it without putting my baby at risk.
You could keep her litter in the same spot so she can have a little time to herself (lol). I'm totally not kidding, my cat years ago gave birth and I did the same, she wouldn't use it in my room, she would cry and cry to be left out to her litter box. So I moved it back and she use it, then come back to her babies. But you could always use a mask of some sort to clean it. And than wash your hand reaaaaallllly good afterwards.
thanks! i plan on asking about it at my next appointment
