Question!!! If someone got arrested but I didn't press charges, can the police report still be found on record??? Or does it get erased since I didn't press charges?
Will it still be worth something even tho I didn't press charges. Could it still work to prove him unfit or dangerous even tho I didn't press charges? (The domestic violence happened during pregnancy) will it back fire and make me look bad that I didn't press charges? Ugh so stressed @rachel8792
The report will be there, bring a copy with you to court if you want to use it as proof
the report will always be there. but it will say dropped and other details of the charges.
No that's not what I'm asking. This happened months ago. The police dropped it too. But I'm hoping the report is still on record even though I didn't press charges. Because I want to be able to use that report against him if we go to court for custody. @kelseys
Yes, it will show you made the report, which served as proof. My parents went through this, and my mom always dropped the charges too. The judge asked why, and she would just tell them that she didnt want us to see him go to jail. My mom ended up winning, basically the police report served as proof he hit her.
