I'm getting pretty bitter about how my family talks about my husband. We're officially married and back from our honeymoon. My husband has been amazing to me since day one. Never any less. He's never hurt me, never cheated, never lied, never left me questioning our relationship. nothing. He's not rude to me. He has always worked a job. He helps with bills. He's a great father and a respectable man. ❤❤❤

But my parents talk about him like trash for stupid reasons. They don't like that he doesn't wear socks. how dumb. what difference do socks make I don't wear them either? so I fail to see any relevance. My dad was always yelling that my husband needs to work more, he works 40 hours a week. When I had bad postpartum depression after the baby I had a hard time taking care of myself and our daughter. My husband requested time off to stay with us and when his job told him no because they had let him take off for when I was induced and the baby was born, so he quit his job. He had money put a side to pay our bills for awhile and he stayed home. He took care of me and the baby while I battled postpartum depression. Then when I was doing better he found another job. This one pays him more and is closer to our new home. he's a manager in a pizza chain.

but my dad still bitches. now he's yelling that my husband doesn't work enough (he works 40 hours a week) and that he needs to get a real job. I wasn't aware my husband's job wasn't real. He brings home paychecks so I'm inclined to call it real. I'm so mad. Most of my life my dad worked in a pizza shop. So I think it's shitty to criticize my husband for it.

We pay our own bills, drive our own vehicles and live our own life. If we don't want my husband working so much he's never around why is that bad?
