you should call first before you go because they won't keep you unless your dilated to 5 cm. most of the time the mucous plug falls out which is red and brownish then you try to walk and go about your business until your contractions get close together, then they will admit you.

@jessika0610, how much blood? Is it filled with clots? Is it bright red? Is it thick like it could be mixed with your mucous plug? I threw up every single time I went into labor.
