My baby is one week shy of being four months old. I exclusively pump. I never kept track of how much he eats. Usually a six ounce bottle at a time. Well in the last 24 hours he's drank 41 ounces of breastmilk. 😳😳😳😳 ummm no wonder I felt like my supply was low.

That's normal. If you introduce formula, your supply will lessen even more. But if that's what you want, you have to slowly introduce, 3/4 breastmilk 1/4 formula then 50/50 and so on. Try a preemie nipple instead of newborn.

@meagansimone, I use the newborn nipples on them to try and slow him down. He's just so hungry all the time and I've tried to supplement just to give myself a little break and he WILL NOT drink formula spits it out gags on it and then if I get him to drink even half an ounce he just throws it up.

If he keeps eating like that, it'll be hard to keep up.

Bottles need to be pacefed. He only needs 24 to 32 oz a day.
