Being induced next week :/ anyone have experience to let me know what I should be prepared for?
It's different for everyone. I got induced! it was almost 8 hours of period like cramping before they. role my water. Then I had hours of really really strong contractions. but honestly I wasn't in a ton of pain (I'm a huge baby when it comes to pain). in total I was in labor for 26 hours. but my mother in law was induce and had her baby 3 hours later.
the pitocin is only for being induced right? you wasn't on any epidural? & lol how far are you? @evococa
I was induced with my son. Honestly, it wasn't bad. I went in the night before, the next morning they started by breaking my water and an hour later started pitocin. By 7 that night he was out. Labor hurts no matter what, but I can't say it's more or less painful than natural seeing as I had no means of comparison. I think being induced was less scary than worrying about what to do if I went into labor on my own--I'm stressing with this baby about when she'll decide to come and what I'm supposed to do haha.
@claudia07, I hope she comes , I got the letter yesterday.. I really don't want that .
Your baby can always come . I gave birth the same day they, gave me the letter saying I was going to get induce the following week
Yeah, pitocin is what causes the contractions. Breaking my water should have started them, but he was stubborn and didn't want to come lol. I ended up breaking down and getting the epidural around 3-4. Contractions were insane and I wasn't progressing at all really. Only dilated like 2cm from 8am to when I got the epidural. 2 hours into the epidural and I was ready to push lol. But I'm 32 weeks tomorrow, so the anxiety is starting to kick in haha.
