I know exactly how you feel, my MIL never visits us (she lives in Cambridgeshire and we live in Ipswich) but she always expects us to visit her then complains that she doesn't see my son enough. When I first had him, I had a c-section and my son was in NICU for a week, she wanted us to go up on the train a week later! Maybe they forget how difficult a tiny baby can be x

Sorry I like to rant but one time she came to pick my ex up and I'd just settled our daughter as she had bad colic and been up most the night (so had I). I was in bed naked ready to go to sleep and I could hear her saying 'I thought I was going to see Willow? Why can't I see her it's not fair', he explained the whole situation and she still came bursting through my bedroom door waking her up and then left when she started screaming. I really don't get it at all😡 @hrbn2

It's so strange though, i don't understand people that are like how she is. Even I'm not like that and I'm her mother😂 I get that grandchildren are exciting but it's her second and my daughter is my mum's first and she is the complete opposite. If she's asleep then my mum comes a different day but exMIL has to make a whole scene about it. It's like yeah, sorry my baby needs to sleep and develop! You'd really think some people have never had kids😂 X @hrbn2

Go round her's in the middle of the night and poke her, then start whining about how you can't see her when you want to 😂 She might get the message then x
