my daughter two months old and she keeps chewing on her hands but she's not hungry. she doesn't have a fever. im wondering if she's teething early but I don't see a tooth coming through.
Our dr said that's a normal developmental skill at that age but can be a sign of the beginning of teething. Mine is 11 weeks and has been doing that and drooling since 8ish weeks and now you can feel 2 teeth but they haven't broke through yet
I'm not saying your baby ISN'T teething, I'm daying you and the doctor while DEFINITELY know when it happens, it's obvious when those teeth are coming in. It isn't very common for a baby 3 months or younger to cut teeth, and sticking their hands in their mouth and drooling is a developmental thing that all babies do, even when not teething. We thought our girl was teething at 3 months because of these exact reasons, well she didn't get her first tooth until 8 months of age! And got her second tooth about a week later! So just saying, if you won't see or feel teeth right now, it's likely not teething yet it's most likely just normal baby behavior.
It's a developmental thing, trust me you'll KNOW when they start teething, the drool is INSANE and you will see/feel the teeth coming up! They will look white and sometimes kinda dark because of blood vessels
