Anyone else have a front facing placenta?

Yeah I do, and tonight I've felt so much movement! Felt it for the past week. I'm 13 + 1 and had a few people say it's impossible to feel anything this early but I just laugh because I know my own body and this is my 3rd baby. xx

Also meant to ask, does this affect hearing the heart beat? X

Glad I'm not the only one. I had never heard of this before until my scan tonight. Didn't realise it was so common. Bit relieved x

i do, i did with my 1st aswell. felt bubs move about 19 weeks for the 1st time, 33 now and hes wiggling all over the place :)x

Yep me too. I felt my son at 18 weeks and felt this little one at 17-18 but like you said little wriggles. Feel some kicks now and then but very light xx

Yeh I'm the same. I felt my son from about 26 weeks. And this time I only started feeling her move about 19 weeks and they were very light wriggles. I'm 24&4 now and I feel her wriggle a lot but still not as much as I did with my son. Xx

Great thank you! That's good to know. Yep the baby's kicks are soft to the touch compared to my little boys kicks when I was pregnant with him. Thank you😊xx

No it won't hinder baby's growth. The placenta can situate anywhere in your uterus and it won't matter as long as it's not low lying. If it's at the front then it's likely to cushion kicks so may be more difficult to feel baby move (which in my case it is) if it's low lying then normal vaginal delivery is usually avoided and a c-section is the safest option. It will move slightly as you get bigger as it'll move with your uterus but shouldn't cause any issues xx

Yes an anterior placenta. Does it stop or slow down the baby's growth in anyway and does it move upwards before labour? X
