Ok y'all my 3 year old girl was just maturating I punished her and told her that was a no no what else can I do what do I do help!!!!!!!!!

My 1 year old daughter messes down there when she gets her diaper changed I don't get overly excited and make a big deal of it I just move her hand when I'm about to put her new diaper on and that's that and she'll do it sometime in the bath but not too much I can really say or do at this point
my daughter is 5 and she does it I tell her not to do it and it's something for mommy's and daddy's who love each other only do it and I mean I can't always be there when she does it but I try to get her to understand it's not what she is suppose to do my had both my son and daughter looking at eachother and trying to figure out why they are different they are just learning and you just need to sit down and teach her that's all once she is a teenager amd hormones hit it will be even more to worry about but right now she is just trying to figure out her body

Maybe not even that it's not appropriate, just tell her you would feel better she didn't do it.
She's only 3, I doubt she knows what she's actually doing and is just "exploring" is the best way I can think to put it, like the other ladies said, don't punish her, maybe talk to her and tell her that it's not appropriate and you would prefer she didn't do that.
My husband asked his psychology teacher she said its due to boredom or it's a calming technique

i have 3 sons and they started doing this after they realized they would get an erection while lotioning after their shower. Please don't make her feel like whats going on with her body is wrong or else she will grow up to be ashamed of her sexuality as well as other things like getting her period etc.
oh, you shouldn't shame her for that. You could cause some psychological issues regarding her body. I understand that it can be shocking to stumble upon your baby doing such a thing but that's because we are programmed to think that way. it's actually completely normal human behavior and a part of growing up as a child. she's figuring her body out and that's ok.
I may do that @cubanese it scares me cause like I never did that even as I grew older into my teenage years and I'm just like why is my child doing this I always regarded as gross to do to ones self but my mom always told me Hun that's natural to have urges but to each their own idk I'll call her dr first thing in the morning and ask

My sister just reminds my nephew (4) that Irma something done in private and that he can must go to his bedroom to do it. He's rather play so it usually stops almost immediately.
