@maymomma052016 Yes, there is still UV rays that come through. Mine didn't have to have the blanket either they had just a little bit of jaundice. I took my son for walks everyday and within two weeks it was completely gone. Breastfeeding does help, but as long baby is pooping and peeing good it'll work itself out.

if youre breastfeeding just nurse nurse nurse. you want baby to have a lot of wet diapers. did they send you home with a bilirubin blanket?
