One thing I refuse to do is share a room after I give birth ... Being in a room with another mom and her baby after I just gave birth ? Hell no ! I want my privacy! I will tour every hospital out here if I have to 🤔

I wouldn't want to either. At the hospital I'm delivering at they put you in a suite after you deliver and they have a bed for the spouse. For the cost delivery and hospital stay, you should have your own room but I guess every hospital is different.

Now I feel spoiled. My hospital has all private rooms in l&d, then you go to a family suite (no nursery, baby stays with you) with room service.

Our NYC hospitals are so crowded you'll be lucky if you don't have to share. NYM allows you to pay out of pocket per night if you want to have your own room. Others you have to share especially when they're "crowded" which is all the time. @madasynmommie

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
