Anyone ever get a root canal? Can you tell me about them? Dentist today did an X Ray and exam; says I need a root canal and crown. Why not just get it pulled? (I would be in less pain faster AND it costs way less than a canal and crown....)
just found out I'm getting 2 root canals today! any ladies had them before? how bad was it?
My boyfriend needs a root canal and is in so much tooth pain right now. He has no insurance and we have no money and I don’t know what to do 😢
Well, I got my root canal done. The dentist said I could wait until baby comes to get the crown. Thank goodness, because dental work is not cheap! I'm just glad to not have to deal with the pain after the next few days. :)
Hi I am into my 15 week now But since last two days am not having good feeling....I just feel something is wrong inside wid d kid...all my symptoms r too less Morning sickness is gone....Metallic taste of my tounge is also less....and I feel pain in my abdoman twice or thrice which is very minor though What should i do i am very confused Already have gone through 5 scans because of changing gynec Just feel that untill i hear the heartbeat or see my kid i wont b ok....got sleepless nights
Seriously about to have a mental brake down. Damn dentist and oral surgeon gave me run around for 3 damn months to finally say I need a root canal. Guess what ?? My insurance doesn't cover it. I'm in such bad pain I just don't know what to do. And it cost too much outta pocket to get the root canal cause I need it for 2 to possibly 3 teeth. This pain has taken over and I can barely chew. Im over it right now.

yes I've had both (root canal + crown) and just getting a tooth pulled... I 100% recommend root canal and crown... you definitely heal faster and it's cheaper for an extraction but then you have a missing tooth in your mouth. I have a missing molar and it's so annoying to eat anything (it hurts also to chew anything on thay side because the gums are exposed) and it's awkward feeling, not to mention your teeth can shift and change the way your mouth/teeth look. I got a root canal and crown on my front (one over) tooth and you can't even tell the difference from my regular teeth and that one.

I've had two root canals and I HATE them. I am a big baby when it comes to nerve pain and it takes a lot for me to get numb so it was painful and scary. My husband has had them and says they are no big deal so I think it depends on your pain tolerance, your ability to get numb and your dentist!

Hmmm. @b3autifulm3ss Yeah, it's my molar in the way back on the top left; the dentist said I would only have 1 molar there if I get it pulled. Insurance doesn't cover crowns and I'd have to see the specialist for the root canal price...I'm glad you mentioned the tooth shifting I'd hate for that to happen. This is rough...

Oi. I hate needles period. They had to put me to sleep to remove my 3 wisdom teeth back in 2009. Is the root canal a quick procedure though? @momagainjj82,

The first one I had to go back twice for them to finish it and this last one I had to go back once. It's a lengthy procedure. And my jaw gets so sore for days for holding it open for so long. The relief of pain in the tooth after made it worth it though. It's so damn expensive too!!! Ugh!!
