I love cloth because you have the ability to use them from newborn to until they're potty trained and then use them for the next children you have. It saves so much money, it's just the best choice for my family.
How do you clean yours? @ashsloan I thought about just using cloth while at home and if I go somewhere, use disposable. Also, how many do you have? What brand do you prefer?
@mommajerbear, I have 30 diapers, a few covers and then several inserts and prefolds. Since I'm Exclusively breastfeeding the poop is water soluble so they just go straight into the washer I use dreft or dapple baby detergent and before I place them in the washer I put fresh lemon juice on them it helps get the stains out but isn't really necessary just something I do. Once the baby starts solids or formula you'll have to rinse the poop off before putting in the washer. After they wash I put them in the dryer. If it's sunny and nice outside I put them on a rack to dry outside (the sun also helps remove stains) but that's also just something I do, but not necessary. When out and about we have a diaper bag wet bag insert which is just a bag you place in your diaper bag and it holds the dirty diapers and controls the odor. When you get home the bag and all goes in the wash, I also have a larger bag in my diaper basket by the changing table, when I need to wash them the bag and all goes into the wash. My favorite brand is the Alva brand and the best place to get them is ecoclothdiaper.com they also have a Instagram page it's Eco cloth diaper

Well the sizes are usually one size fits all, will fit from 10 pounds to 35 pounds and they have buttons to adjust the size to fit baby. There are all in one diapers which have the absorbent inserts sewed or or pocket diapers which you place the inserts in yourself and are able to add more inserts for long drives or over night. Prefolds are sort of like inserts and can be used just like an insert but can also be folded to make a diaper for a baby under 10 pounds. Covers are usually a water proof barrier that you can put on top or prefolds since those won't be water proof. You can also put covers over diapers to make them more waterproof for overnight. You can find plenty of information on YouTube I watched a lot of cloth diapering videos to get to know what I do now. Hope I've helped some!
