How long do professionals usually say to wait before you introduce a breastfed baby a bottle to avoid nipple confusion.

*note, she's been given a paci.

I have been going back and forth with the Avent and Tommie Tippie and we haven't had any confusion. we started at 2 weeks and he has had a paci too.

my daughter knows the difference...doesnt have any confusion...they suggest letting someone else feed baby with bottle so they don't get your smell confused.

@mommyofadiamond not sure about the Avent bottles. but I think a nipple with a slow flow and soft nipple (simular to a real nipple) should work. I used the Playtex air vent bottles and my daughter was fine with it. every baby is diffrent give the one you like a try, and see if baby likes it

I'm not sure if they really do but I used avent and tommee tippee for my daughter and those were the only two kinds she would take. I think because they were the closest to her paci and me

Do the avent bottles with the nipples that are suppose to simulate a boob really lesson the chances of confusion? @rosalinasmami @santistevanmommie

They say not to give either until a month old but if baby's had a paci and doesn't get confused you could try just be careful and watch for signs of confusion

about 4 weeks. this ensures baby has a good latch.😊
