Soooooooooo im sitten here watchin tv and this doctor pulls a needle out sticking it in a woman back. The needle longer that my damn finger.... Is the epidural needle that big???
@ginnalynn, you don't sound rude at all!!! I'm pretty straightforward and almost never sugar coat my responses - so often it's me that comes off being rude. I don't do it intentionally...just the Aussie in me 😁
@goddess_santana, @theinkedmommy it's definitely 10000000000000% better than contractions. And it's only brief pain compared to what could be much much much longer. I have gotten it three times, twice for my children and once for another surgery. So, while I didn't want you to think it was a cake walk, it's better than labour 😘
@goddess_santana, Lol sorry I just didn't want you to be mislead. You honestly don't even feel it when you're having contractions.
omgggg nooooo @theinkedmommy thats not going in me you shouldnt have showed me now I refuseee @phinnybinz dang that sucks guess ive made my decision
@phinnybinz, I know they can't numb the whole back all the way to your spinal column but they did numb the skin of all the people I've ever watched get one done. don't know how to make that sound not so rude, but I'm definitely not meaning to come off as rude. just don't know another way to reword it lol
@ginnalynn, they can't numb very much because you've got to be able to feel where it is in order to assist the anaesthetist in making sure it's centred.
Not to make things worse but getting the epidural (for me) sucked. I have an extremely high tolerance for pain but, bending over, contracting, and getting the needle slowly in-between vertebrae and centred is not fun and definitely not pain free.
the epidural is about the size of a porkupine needle. it's huge. Ut I'll be honest..I'm a HUGE baby when it comes to pain and I didn't feel it at all. and it made everything so much more comfortable!
from what I've heard from my step sister who has had an epidural both times she's been in labor, the contractions are so uncomfortable that the epidural is literally nothing. she swears that she didn't feel anything because she had been in so much pain before getting it. they numb you before sticking the needle in anyways, at least all the times I've watched them they do @goddess_santana
@bellasmommy516, @ginnalynn @theinkedmommy well omm it scared me cause im not sure if I want it or not and me and needles dont get along.....
probably best not to even think about it lol but I've heard its a pretty big needle...
Moms and Moms-to-be,
Many of you were worried about @zombie_kitty69 who hasn't been in the app for about two weeks. She's thankful for your concern and wrote this to be posted:

Sorry I havent posted an update on whats happened. I finally.had my baby boy, Noah Jesus Zamora 😍 So I went in Friday night due to small contractions, once I made it to the hospital they had become regular & I was almost 2 cm dilated. They kept me for 2 hours before sending me home because my contractions werent causing any dilation. So my bf & I spent the night at my mothers just incase something happened. I tried to fall asleep around 1 something in the a.m. after timing contractions that were...
implantation bleeding but no blood?!?!
Ok so today I checked my cm. I do it daily to help in my ttc and to get more fimilar with my own body and cycle. So lastnight I was laying in bed and I have a overwhelming pain in my uteris. It was almost like a bunch of little needles stabbing my insides. It happened twice within a 10 minutes time and lasted about 45 seconds each time. Soon after I fell asleep. Slept all night and woke this morning felt normal. Some cramping on and off but not anything co...

Idk if you can see this very well, but I think it's just the COOLEST thing EVER! This is one of Kai's presents from Mom and Dad, it's a living, self sustaining, termite exhibit!! 🥰
You use a syringe to put water onto a tiny needle hole once a week to keep it damp for them, and that's it! Today is watering day, hubs just didn't mark it last time, and I can finally wrap it. 😍 We've had to keep em hidden cause we had to be able to still water them.
The wood slice is supposed to last 3ish years t...
I have given birth to 3 kids without an epidural, my most recent was 16 months ago where i was induced for the first time and those pitocin contractions were HORRIBLE but i powered through. Im being induced again tomorrow night and i have been having an anxiety attack all day about it. Part of me is debating an epidural but the thought of the needle scares me. Idk im just feeling so many emotions. Those of you who got the epidural is it worth it or is it better without? I also am scared of havin...
I rather have a needle than contractions 😂😂😂 and I don't like needles . but I didn't see the epidural go in me . my husband did and his face expression was funny
