That scary moment when you get a call from your midwife telling you they're switching you to Doctor care.

That scary moment when you get a call from your midwife telling you they're switching you to Doctor care.

Since my protein levels were elevated in my 24hr urine collection, I have a heart murmur, and my bp has been borderline high every visit, she thought it was best to switch me into Doctor care to be safe rather than sorry.

She told me I had borderline hypertension OR that pre eclampsia had already set it at 28w (29w tomorrow) which is scary.

I have to set up a growth ultrasound at 34 weeks and have NST and heart monitoring for baby every week after that.

Nothing has gone right this pregnancy (my first) and it makes me terrified to even think about having another baby.

I totally feel you, when I hit that 32 week 4 day mark with my daughter I didn't even want to get out of bed, I was like if I don't move nothing bad will happen... but I got up and did stuff around the house, the next day I was like woo-hoo I made it then said to my husband " I've never been this pregnant before" every week after that lol

@sarahdrew, that's crazy! And I know every pregnancy is different, it's just hard not to worry. Thank you!

every pregnancy is different... I had a complete placenta previa during my first and had a c-section scheduled, everything else went great, ended up in the hospital at 32 weeks 4 days due to bleeding and had been told I would be in for overnight observation, I ended up delivering that night, 6 1/2 weeks before my c-section date.... I was terrified during my second pregnancy that I would end up having her early too, especially with all the pains and cramping I had.... had my daughter on her scheduled c-section date at 39 weeks.... my thoughts and prayers are with you mama

You couldn't find a babysitter?!

You couldn't find a babysitter?! Mommas, do you take your kids with you to run errands and go to mundane appointments? On two separate occasions, a doctors appointment for me and today at a car service appointment, someone has remarked "you couldn't find a babysitter?!" It never crossed my mind to find a babysitter. I take my 2 kids with me just about everywhere. They are well behaved (minus the occasional 3 year old meltdown) and one of them is attached to my boob the majority of the time anyway. Am I the only one? Is that a weird thing to do? Do most moms find babysitters?
