Google it... There's nothing medical says castor oil causes the babies to have a bowel movement.
@kellyl22, whatever you ingest passes thru to your baby. Look at ppl who drink alcohol and their babies have FAS. Do you think ingesting a harsh stimulant laxitive doesn't affect the baby? That's really dumb. Also, the intense contractions that can be cause by ingesting the castor oil can cause the baby to have decreased heart rate and lots of stress.
The relation between castor oil and meconium is not true.... Meconium has only been present with people who have used castor oil and have been overdue. If you're overdue then the baby will expel it anyway and that's one of the reasons they don't want you going too far past your due date.. The only thing castor oil will do it make you shit. A lot. For a long time.
No nada don't do it. Read up on what it actually do to the baby
