How can you tell if your 17 month year old has pink eye? his eyes have been producing alot of goopy eye booger and they have been watering like crazy.

My close friend has a 7 month old and just recently he was having the same problem, watery eyes, tons of gunk kept coming out of them and such. she assumed it was pink eye but when she took him to the doctor it actually turned out to be a weird side effect from an ear infection! Not saying that's what's going on cause it could certainly be pink eye but it's a possibility!
Clean them repeatedly with a warm rag.
Yeah, that's why I said it. I don't think any of us could make a diagnosis without actually seeing what it looks like. Even then we could be wrong. I would just take him.
I was planning on it. I just didn't know how to tell what he had.
thank you! he hasn't had any build up today just watery eyes. so I'm gonna keep an eye on it and see what happenes.
