I still keep looking at the tests I took yesterday making sure they don't magically change :) can anyone tell me if they do an ultrasound at your first prenatal appt? hubby says it won't kick in fully for him til he sees the baby

I am such a dork!!! I forgot that because we were trying so hard to have a baby i had ordered a 50 pack of hpt. well they came today and I'm me so I had to take one. I think I'll be doing that like every day just to make sure I'm still pregnant day after day :)

My doctor checked internally right when I told him I got positives and we saw the peanut (literally) it was so tiny. So maybe you could ask.

I had two different appointments prior to my first ultrasound at 7 weeks. My first two appointments were to get my blood tested to make sure my hormone levels were rising

Where I go they call it "confrontation visit" I had 2! The 1st was the pee test, then I came back in a month and had a ultrasound and discussed due date with him. So maybe. Just depends on how the place you go to works. :)

They usually do one when you will be 8 weeks.

they weren't planning to at my first appt. I technically didn't have it at my first one anyway. it was the next day and they only ordered one because the doctor thought i was measuring smaller for around the time we said my last period was. he was wrong lol I was a bit bigger but yeah that's the only reason they gave me one

Probably not with your first appointment... With me it, I wasn't sure about my last period because the one I had right before I got pregnant was extremely light so they guesstimated my due date and then I went back 2 weeks later and they did an ultrasound to confirm(and we were 3 weeks off). It really just depends on your doctor. But you will have moments where it sinks in several times throughout your pregnancy... Because it takes a while to even feel pregnant. But seeing the baby for the first time definitely makes it so much more real☺️ congrats to your little family!
