can you ask for a c section? I've been here 18 hours now, 2 sets of cytotec and 1 now of cervadil and nothing has progressed and I'm getting so frustrated. I just want this baby out of me :( they say he's so big that my hips may not even be wide enough to get him out.. so that right there discourages me itself :(

I really hope they do something for you so you aren't in pain for too long
@paige1212, the only negative thing about pitocin is it makes the contractions irregular and pretty painful, which is why I got the epidural but it did make me dialated pretty quick. I had no issues with epidural or labor. after the epidural I just relaxed the rest of the day with my family until it was time to push. I still had the ability to move around and sit up on my own.
@jessd1988, I came in not dilated at all just 50% effaced lol I'm only a fingertip as of right now maybe pitocin will do the job
when I went in to be induced they did pitocin first and it made me start dilating. .I went in at 2 cm dialated. Shortly after they broke my water. started pitocin at about 730 am and had her at 10 that night but I did get the epidural so it slowed down my ability to push so I was pushing for over an hour. She was 10 days overdue and didn't want to come out lol
@jessd1988, they just did cervadil at like 730 I think and it definitely made me way more uncomfortable and in more pain I wonder if they are planning to try pitocin after :/ i feel so defeated like nothing will work
@laytons_mommy, I might have to ask because the contractions are measuring and feeling insanely strong and it's not that I feel like c section is the easy way out or anything but I just honestly don't feel like my body can handle anymore self inducing they tried the Foley ball and I'm still bleeding from that attempt it hurt so bad and my blood pressure is high like super high! it's freaking me out! lol @autumnjolene I'm going to have to ask because this is just miserable :(
I'm not positive about this but I heard after 20 something hours then they might do the csection. I want to say around 24-26 hours. Never hurts to ask though!!
oh no! I guess it never hurts to ask. especially if you've been having contractions and still nothing.
no broken water yet I won't even dilate pass a fingertip :(
has your water broke yet? my drs made me do a c-section because my water had broken and I was in labor for 17 hours with no progress and then our heart rates went too low.
u can ask the dr about c section he maybjustbagree so he can go home lol
