I completely forgot and have not scheduled a hospital tour. is this a big deal? I'm 37 weeks and may be induced this week
I can't lie it is because I didn't know what to expect and how much I would feel. It was my first baby! BUT the morning of I really had to mentally prepare myself. I was like women do this everyday so it's time to woman up, put my big girl panties on and get this shit out of the way. I had a c-section because I have a nice size fibroid which caused the baby not to turn. So, when they took me to the operating room I prayed and leaned my head on the lady. I held her hands and they gave me the spinal tap. It's just like an IV but in your back. It hurts a tad bit more to me. After the second one I didn't feel anything. I was so woozy. They put the cathedar in which I felt it but no pain whatsoever. They bought my husband in and they began. He was nervous too. From that moment on I was only scared because I needed to hear my baby. There was little pressure and no pain whatsoever. Once she was out the wait to here her cry GIRL it was forever to me. Once I heard her cry I didn't care what they did to me. They let me see her but then had to take her to NICU to monitor her heart. So that really was the easy part. The recovery was the hardest.
aw, congratulations @gcpaschal ! and thank you. is it as scary as I'm imagining it?
happy mother's day ladies!
@nichole87, let me know if you need anything else. I just had my baby 4 weeks ago.
thanks @alexusasia420 and @gcpaschal ! that does make me feel better! I have been to the hospital many time, friends have delivered there and I've heard really great things.
You know what..the hospital I was originally having my baby at it looked like a prison. I'm so happy I had to go to labor and delivery for some testing because that's the only way I would have found out. I transferred to one of the best hospitals that week. For that reason only I would say yes. If you've been there before and know it's a good hospital..id just focus on other stuff I need to get done.
Aw. I'm happy your both doing well!
