HELP!!! I babysit a 5 year old. Almost 6. He has NEVER peed himself before. Not even in his sleep since I've started babysitting him. (February) but today we were going to my in laws for a Mother's Day dinner. I asked him right before we left if he had to pee. He said no. We get my daughter and him in their car seats and my husband feels his pants while buckling him and their wet. He said he peed himself while we were still in the house. I'm not sure if he did it to act out because if he doesn't get his way he misbehaves. I just need advice. I DO spank him if he needs it. (I have permission) but I'm not sure what's appropriate if it happens again. He just got time out when we got to my in laws and no games in the car.
oh I see what your saying. Having never been there myself I can't offer any words of advice . just positive thoughts that it gets better :) @mrm83015
@serenitysmommy7.25.16, if he thinks he knows he does something wrong he won't say a word to us. If he's mad or upset he will not tell us ANYTHING when we ask. I was changing my daughters diaper in the bedroom and my husband closed the door halfway so he could get dressed. It was seriously only 2 minutes. Until I go out there and I ask him what he was doing and he would shrug his shoulders (he wasn't suppose to be playing with his bouncing ball but I think he was because he was acting innocent and usually when they do that they're doing something they know not to) I had to ask him repeatedly before he answered me and he said he was playing with something and I asked him if he was lying and he said no. (You can tell when he lies) he finally admitted to lying and then said he was play shooting ghosts. I ask him why didn't he tell us before and he just shrugs and says "I don't know"
@mrm83015, I would start just by asking him. why did you not use the bathroom before we left? and go from there sometimes it's a nervous thing or maybe he has a bladder infection .
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
Make your own breakfast!
At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
son getting out of car seat
So a couple days ago my son started getting himself out of his car seat while we are on the road. He will be 2 years old May 27th. He pushes the chest clip all the way down and pulls his arms and shoulders out of the straps but is still buckled at the waist. Today he did it 4 times, we had to pull over every time. What do you guys do when they start doing this? My Britax came with these long rubber strap covers but I took them off a while ago when he was to small f...
Who else has financial issues within their relationship?? Or am I just lucky 🙄🙄
Not sure if I'm being just mean or what. But my SO used $160 from me this morning. I gave him my bank card because he needed $60 to get material for work. His boss was going to give it back to him at the end of the day. So instead of $60 he took out $160. Which I was a little pissed. (One of the reasons I just can't let him use my card. I have to go get the money from the atm myself if I'm giving it to him) then, to...
@serenitysmommy7.25.16, I mean I know it's not just here that he acts up. He acts up at school too. But I just don't know what to do because he doesn't like to behave or listen.
