Did any moms with nipple rings manage to breastfeed and keep their piercings?
Did any mommies who have nipple rings have any success feeding and being able to keep your piercings afterwards? I'm definitely going to breastfeed but I love my nipple rings and have only heard horror stories about having them and feeding and don't know if I wanna go through the pain of parting with them then getting them re-pierced. Have any mommies found any secrets to keeping the piercings from closing? I've had them since I was 18 and this December will make 3 years that I've had them.

Idk how you keep em in lol I knew I was pregnant cuz mine started hurting so bad even in a bra I'd feel like crying they ached lol I would just take em out because the baby could decide it's a toy later on and pull em or the ball could come off and the baby could swallow it and choke on the barbell. Better safe than sorry

it depends how your body is but 3 years? they might not close as fast .. I mean , you will have to keep them off for a while but maybe once she gets older , you can put them back in for when you sleep just to be sure they don't close. if I were you though, I would just take them off.. I did it.. I loved my babies but had to give it up 😢

@kaygee612, lol they haven't given me too many issues surprisingly! I'll definitely take them out if I'm feeding or pumping though because like you said I don't want my baby to swallow a ball or the bar, but I wonder if once I'm done with a feeding session or pumping session and try to re-insert them from time to time (and in particular keep them in on days that I won't be physically feeding due to working or just choosing to feed whatever I've pumped using a bottle on a lazy day) it'll keep them from closing completely because I don't mind removing them to feed or pump, I just don't want them to close up and have it hurt worse to get them re-done because of scar tissue that'd form from them closing and stuff.

@muvah.earthh, yeah I'm hoping since they're not really new they won't close too fast, and yeah that's what I was thinking to put them in while sleeping or on a day that I won't be physically feeding and just using bottles of what I pumped just to keep them from closing. I've had a pretty good track record with pretty much all of my piercings not closing really fast if I remove them for whatever reason so I'm hoping they'll be the same

Yeah if it's only for feeding etc I don't think it'll close. I used to take mine out for a few hours a day at a time and they didn't close and it didn't hurt. Hopefully you won't have to get em done again lol I don't wanna go thru that pain again lol @jc100495
