How does the breast pump provided by insurance work? Would you just call your insurance company and ask? I was not aware of this until I started seeing posts, I currently have united healthcare
Some insurance doesn't cover it, so ask your insurance first. Mine didn't cover it because it's a grandfathered plan with the state.
Edgepark.com is their website
I went through edgepark, but you can call your insurance also. They tell you exactly which ones you qualify for and all of that good stuff. Edgepark was super easy to order through and walked me through everything. All I did was input my insurance information and things like that. They make it really simple. They will also tell you when you can order one after you apply if it's too soon 🙂
I just called my insurance and they told me which ones I could get. OB wrote an Rx and then you order from the medical device company. For mine I was able to order already and I'm only 15 weeks today.
Ladies I called my insurance about breast pump and they said with their insurance in order to get a pump I get a prescription from doctor then I call 3 different numbers to see what my insurance covers but the only thing is I have to wait til baby is born to call and get pump so I want to at least buy a hand pump which do you ladies recommend for hand pump and when I can get a pump from insurance please n thank you 💖💖
Pregnant Mommy’s with no insurance what do you pay per a visit to see your ob? I need to get in to see an ob but I have NO Insurance and I’m scared if I don’t get any will I ever be able to afford to see one? With my daughter I had acchs but no longer qualify 😭
i hate insurance companies i was in the hospital twice for UTIs related to my pregnancy yet the insurance wont cover it?? 😡😡 how??.
Breast pump covered by insurance
I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
Will insurance cover therapy or will I have to pay for it?
I used edgepark too, but there are other websites too that'll do the same thing (Google search).
