Does the WIC give me the same kind of formula the hospital give me? If not is it okay to which?

Some hospitals don't. They gave my daughter Gerber good start and I tried to change her formula to the WIC GENTLEAS but it made her stomach upset so we had to go back to buying her formula till this point. One thing I learned is that the hospital was suppost to give my daughter Enfamil the regular one so she can continue taking it by the WIC because some babies get used to it and sometimes don't want to change it. Just a tip :)

The hospital I delivered at have me enfamil newborn, and WIC gave me similac advance. Neither of which my daughter did good on, so I switched her to similac sensitive and I had to get a doctors order sent over to wic for them to approve it.

Most hospitals give out Similac, and most wic gives Similac. (because it's usually cheaper) unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor they don't give you anything besides Similac advanced. that's how it's been for me at least, I've received wic in Ohio, new York, and Alabama

it depends on the hospital and what kind of formula they use

no the WIC program will not give you the same formula that you get at the hospital. at the hospital they give you the small ready to give to baby but the WIC gives you powder than you make it yourself. how ever the type of formula that you gets it matters. bc there are different types as for gas , sleeping better, with cereal, calming and different types I can't remember all.

any thing you do don't get the simple formula isn't good for baby.
