@khazi_mom16, I asked to be induced because if my baby gets any bigger I most likely will not be able to deliver him natural and I don't want a csection. My baby is measuring 2-3 weeks ahead and they told me no
@khazi_mom16, most doctors won't induce before 39-40 weeks if there's no medical reason to. Some will let you go to 41 weeks as long as everything's looking ok. I had a csection with my first and this time I have gestational diabetes plus high blood pressure and if I don't go into labor by myself by 39 weeks then I will schedule a csection.
I think most doctors won't induce until you're 39 weeks unless you have a medical reason on why it needs to be earlier. I asked my doctor when I was 40 weeks if we can look into being induced because my brother flew in for a few days to meet his niece and she didn't want to talk about it until I hit 41 weeks so all doctors are different
I ended up having my son preterm but when I talked to my OB she said most doctors won't induce until 39 weeks unless there's a health problem. I think it depends on your doctors policy
They say it's best to keep them until at least 39 weeks, just because their lungs are more developed and less chance of jaundice. But obviously it's safe to have a baby earlier, just recommended after 39 weeks
I had my daughter at 38w 1d but it was my second pregnancy. My first I was 39w 5d. Unless you have a medical reason they usually won't until your 39+ weeks
