***RANT***

So I had one of those child backpack leash things....since my daughter does not walk very well and never goes without us anyways I thought I would be nice and give it to my husbands step sister since her kid is spastic as he'll and they could really use one. I tell her it would be good cuz then they can go for walks and to the store with our her having to hold her or keep her in a cart or stroller. Honestly I was hopeing it would give her enough motivation to get up and out of her house witch in turn would help her health and mentally as well....well what the hell does she do she stays on her ass on her bed in her bedroom in her apartment with her child naked wearing it around the house saying she loves it and loves wearing it. Even her kid is trying to tell her she wants to go outside and be in the sun and around other people other than just her mother all day every day cooped up in a house like a bat. I try so hard to help her to get her out and about and she just keeps making excuses....well I'm done. I cant take care of her and try so hard if she won't even try her damn self. ugh some people I swear.....praying for them just isn't enough!!!

Sorry so long I've been holding that in for so long.

I understand your frustration totally. But from personal expirence it wasnt something i could just change and thats probably the same case for her i hope she finds the strength to pull through though i would just pray for her and her situation

@klove23, I know how hard it is I am in the same boat as her..at least I was till I made a change and decided I didn't like the way I was feeling and saw how it was impacting my child. I have been trying with her for over two years now and it's always the same...I am not giving up on her because I can't help someone that won't help themselves. @sam.g. I have tried that as well and she wont do it either because she does not have the gas(even if I saw I would drive) or she says not now or makes up an excuse. I have even asked her to watch my daughter so our daughters can play together while I get some things done and she has completely ignored me...she did it at first but then would sit there and either not answer my text or calls at all instead of replying with I don't feel up to it or don't feel well or just simply sorry no. She does need help...even her mom has tryed and her doctors but the way she goes into a doc appointment is her lieing and saying she's fine or working on it or she tells them how bad it really is and only wants the antidepressants instead of taking the therapy. I even told her I would take her and wait in the lobby or go in or even just watch her daughter while she does it since her "fieance" works a crap job and is not the best to her or for her....but she just sits there and willows and blocks herself off from the world and everyone. When they moved out to their own place they moved closer to our church so it would save on gas and would be eaiser for them....they havnt gone once since they moved and she used to be the biggest religious person ever and always tell me about how I needed to go more and trust in god....yet she won't even go for her kid to get out of the house.

^^ This, plus you might offer to host a few play dates or see if he would be allowed to go on some adventures with your family. Sounds like she needs some help.

For some people going through mental issues it isnt as easy as it may seem to just get up and go. I would just keeping trying to encourage her to get out and do things. but dont give up on her..
