hi hmm my first was an experience I best forget so sorry in advance for putting a downer on things..but ere goes..my lil boy was born at 41 wks plus..I suffered alot n had a prolonged n slow labor..mw did an internal cuz I had been induced n was getting good contractions d whole day dey couldn't understand y I wasnt dilating. .upon doing an internal exam she realised she poked baby's bum rather then feel for his head..she was v unprofessional n even had a giggle abt it wid her colleagues. .soon after dey decided I wasnt progressing n a last min scan confirmed an undiagnosed breech baby..unfortunately my firsr labor ended in a emergency c section also because wen my waters broke der was meconium in dem so baby was in distress.my son was born 7'7 n wid an average apgar score but was not brought straight to me as per ususl dat caused me allot of distress n later post natal depression. i felt really cheated n was angry for a long time but as time has passed ..I realise now I hav a gorgeous lil boy who is thriving n healthy n is currently nearly 5 yrs old bless his lil heart.. i am aware if diagnosed earlier in pregnancy dey can try to move baby around in to a better position from breach/transverse etc to cephalic (head dwn)..so u still have hope if a vaginal birth is what u want..its good to b informed of ur options id discuss wid ur midwife etc. xxx
