Didn't realized how damn hard it is to get my son baptized. Why must their be so many damn rules and shit. I just want…

@emc229, aha yea it really is. just hoping this church doesn't make it difficult. not going to go to the church my fathers son just its because he was baptized there. his ass turned mormon and does nothing to do with that religion he's a joke.

I know what you mean. My daughter's dad lives in another state on the opposite side of the US and I've given up on including him. My church seems ok with it but it was hard to make that decision.... Especially being Catholic because everything is a pain in the ass lol.

@emc229, the hardest part has been the church can't find one that doesn't ask for a bunch of things. my sons father isn't going to be there so I need one that doesn't need him to sign anything.

I know it's so frustrating. My son's baptism was a breeze but my daughter's is a pain!

@emc229, its quiet a process that I had no idea about. I finally found a church I think just need to get them to call me back. every place is so different and needs so much crap its frustrating.

I'm Catholic and my hubs is Lutheran. My daughter will be baptized in the Catholic Church and it's quite complicated. She's 8 and I still haven't been able to. Parents & godparents need to take classes and my stuff has to be check too as well as everyone else's. My son was baptized Lutheran and it was so easy. We made a call, scheduled it and showed up. My father in law is a pastor and he flew down from Michigan to baptize him but regardless it was a very easy process. Now with my daughter it's tough getting everyone together and on top of that having their schedules free for classes.

@jahnessagarcia, of course we are they are still going to be loved without them.

You guys are much better off without him around. Our poor babies though 😞 I feel for them. And indeed us moms do.

@jahnessagarcia, I doubt it either he thinks its so easy and always threatens to do so.Our son doesn't even know him he left when he was two months old he doesn't remember who he is. Thank you I'm here for you also us moms have to stick together.

Even if he went to file I doubt he would get anything. It's just bogus. They just wanna brag about having a child but not actually love and care for them. The kids are just an object to them and that heartbreaking. If you ever need someone to talk to girl I'm here for you @blanca_boo

@jahnessagarcia, thats how my sons father is too when he comes see him and just never has time to see him. half the time he doesn't have a job or money to see him. I support my son 100 percent without his help. definitely didn't think I would be going through this. he always says he's going to get custody he can barely provide for himself.

@blanca_boo, I'm lucky enough that my daughters "dad" lives in a different state but when he visited her he literally just took pictures the whole time or was on his phone. He hasn't done shit for her at all.

Right it is so annoying! It's like uhh you are far from a father. Helping create a child doesn't make you a father. Being there for them and raising them does. @blanca_boo

@jahnessagarcia, I didn't realize it was either until I just started looking myself. you should go or call to find out what they require. My sons father doesn't always come around and its just a complicated thing.

@blanca_boo, I hope when I find a place the dad doesn't need to be there because my daughters dad isn't in her life. Seems like so much work to be baptized 😫

@jahnessagarcia, I didn't realize all that until I went today. But I might be able to do it at the one by my house. Have to find one that doesn't need his dad being there also.

@jahnessagarcia, every church has their own rules which is dumb in my book. The first I went to has a interview process and you have to live with in range of the church.

There's rules?? I want to get my daughter baptized but I didn't know there was a process to do so
