Need some advice..

So my husband and I just found out this morning that God is blessing us with a little girl 💖 we were both so convinced it was a boy, but it seems like he took his "assumptions" too far and really thought we were having a boy.. So when the tech said it's a girl, he is disappointed. Hasn't talked about it much the rest of today.. I'm just blessed I have a healthy little girl. I wish he could see it that way. Anyone else go through this?

Ditto my fiancé and I have two girls and a boy however he wanted boys when he found out it was a girl he just didn't believe it he's actually still thinks it's a boy but he'll get over it especially when the baby comes into the world it's his first baby and girls have a way of wrapping themselves around their fathers fingers so don't let it upset you much he will come around

When I read your post flashback came into my mind. This happend the same way to my husband and I. When we found out we were pregnant, all he would say was " its a boy I know so " he used to rubb my tummy & call our baby a " he " until we went to the hospital to find the gender and she said it was a girl. He was the same way, he wouldn't rubb my belly anymore nor talk to our daughter. I felt really sad because I wanted him to have that connection with our baby no matter the gender. When I hit 26 weeks he started to talk to her mom and she would kick him hard and from then on he was in love with my belly. Now that we have her in our arms for 3 months, all he does is be around her protecting and he has become more sensitive to us. He's such a caring daddy. Don't feel bad for it, babygirls are more attached to daddies and you will see it onces you have your little one here ;)

I've learned over the months to not let it bother me anymore. Cause it just brings me down and causes fights. He's been better lately so I have hope for you!! 😊

I kind of know the feeling. This is my first and my boyfriends 3rd so I feel like he isn't as excited about stuff like I am.

Once he meets his daughter that will all go away! I feel a little left out because my boyfriend has 2 daughters and sometimes I feel like me and our little boy don't even compare to them. But my boyfriend wanted a boy so I think he is starting to get a little excited he is finally going to have a little man. Just give him sometime.

Yes! I think most guys always want there first kid to be a boy. My SO really wanted one, but his friends and our moms said it was a girl. when the tech said its a girl I knew he was disappointed even tho he's happy he's gunna have a daddy's girl. Every now and then he throws out boy comments or when we went baby registers shopping he was looking at some of the baby boy outfits and got sad. It kinda makes me mad cause he should be grateful for a healthy baby but I do understand how he feels.
